MTN have a feature that allows one to send a USSD commands that include the numbers you would press to navigate the sub menus that appear.

For example, instead of sending *111#, then 1 and then 7 to check the available balance on your data bundle, you could send *111*1*7# or something similar to get straight there.

Any chance of Vodacom implementing a similar system?

I've wondered that same thing too. Anyways ginggs, i have customers asking me if it is at all possible to recharge their Prepaid SIM and load a PPDB without having to remove the SIM from the E220... would introducing them to your program be a possiblity?

I usually just tell them to take out the SIM and put it in a phone and do it like that, or i do it for them.

I thought it worked that way...

For sure the ones I use do have this capability. Like airtime transfer.

Which USSD command are you referring to? Might be a function of a specific service or WASP.

Yes, but you may not charge them for it.

For one, the example I used, *111# then 1 then 7 to get the balance of a PPDB.

I've implemented a work-around for this in E620 Tool so E620 and E220 users can send the above command as *111#,1,7.

Would still be nice if Vodacom got the *111*1*7# form working for everyone.

Vodac USSD

I do wish VC would implement the Multiple USSD codes.
Now, when you dial 100, the option(for prepaid) to hear the expiry date (and amount of data left) lies at 2.
So the USSD code for this would have been something like *100#,2 or maybe even *100*2#
The first Code only returns the same as *100#, the second returns an err (Wrong SAC dialed)
Not even the "short" balance login for VC displays prepaid DATA.
The only option AFAIK is to take the long way through vodacom4me.co.za and check under "My Account" -> "data bundles"

maybe if you take the short way for the balance login and then after the login copy and paste the data balance link , if it's ok with 3g

Here we are in 2022 and VC still hasn't implemented this.
