Was just wondering if anyone else using the modem on a laptop has ever had a problem with the blue screen of death when leaving IBurp running for a good cuppla hours?

I was finding this problem when I left it connected and then went out for the day. I reformatted the laptop (needed doing anyways) and hope that that would be the end of that. No I see its happening again on my nice clean machine....

blue screen

Hi,
I am getting a similar problem. Have had iburst for just over a week. First few days were great. Then I changed a firewall setting. I have Norton and it complained that I should switch off the Windows firewall. Did that and have struggled ever since. Could not work for more than 5 minutes without it going down. Tried running just windows firewall with norton disabled - lasted a bit longer but also went down. Currently I have both firewalls enabled again. Being working for about 30 minutes - a record. Any ideas on what the incompatiblity issue is with firewalls and the iburst terminal. Will iburst support be able to assist me?

Welcome and good luck with the iBurst support, if you can find it anywhere
This forum is probably the best support...

Well have Fsecure internet security 2005 on my laptop use a UTC and sometimes run for 5 to 6 hours with out a problem. I have even left it one night with out a problem. Have had it for almost 7 months now and never got a blue screen so far.

If I get your problem correctly then have you guys thought of powersaving features, sometimes the laptom might want to go on powersaving mode while the modem is still transmitting stuff. Especially with windows, Try disabling all powersaving features and see if that does not solve your problem.
