VANS to get ECNS licences

She still has a few days left I think. We will just have to wait and see what dirty conniving scheming tricks she plans on getting up to.

QUICK! Flood her with delicious donuts! :D

So she may divert all her attention to the flood of donuts and not to the appeal... :D

Doubt there's enough jam in the country for such an exercise.. :(

Doesn't Ivy have until the 21st to submit her appeal? That's 4 days till the celebrations can officially begin.

correct
her chances of success just diminished significantly with ICASA doing this....now she has to note her appeal to the SCA and then still bring an urgent application to prevent ICASA from issuing licences

not there yet
but really really close

They need to fast track the issuing of these licenses. We are getting desperate here!!

The more companies get their own licences, the more difficult will it be for Ivy to reverse it...

supercharger speed ahead boys! :D

Bank managers are going to get a lot of calls today for finance. It's not cheap to roll out a network in a year you know.

Quick, do it before they change their minds. :D

If I was the Neotottie boys I would be so angry about now. They in theory could sue for every cent they have spent so far. I mean they paid a couple million for their licence. They were more or less given an assurance of a protected playing filed for a couple years and now this. That means that the govt misrepresented itself (in a way since it was ivy's stuff up)

They could claim back a LOT of cash I reckon.

This is true. And is probably one of the reasons why Ivy is still going to fight this tooth and nail. But I think they should go for it. Sue them for every cent. But of course it will all just come out of our pockets anyway.

yes and no
remember that Neotel, who paid approx R100m for their licence (although i am not sure whether they have paid all of this yet), also got awarded extensive frequency allocations matching those of Telkom. again i am not sure of how their licensing deal was structured (and am not denying that they have reason to be upset with the Minister) but it may be a little more complex than you have it
