And racism does not have to be violent, or intended.. Racism is simply judging someone differently because of their race, even eg whites that make an effort to get to know black people can be racists, because its based specifically on race. and its not like we only judge based on race.. We judge people for all sorts of physical attributes, but judgement on race is apparently more disgraceful. I disagree, I think they are all disgraceful.

Well it might be an important question. I think that I have already raised the point that data manipulation in order to create/fabricate something isn't easy and requires considerable resources and time. If the first gereneration copy was given to the police shortly after the event and the 3rd generation copy was shown in court and those two copies happen to be identical, then it stands to reason that the copy given to the cops is relevant. It establishes a timestamp.
I never said I was there. However when looking at the facts it's very clear that the racist Baird is trying to ruin the Judge with whatever evidence he has or can create.

I don't think the judge needs anybody to ruin anything for him. He's quite capable to do it on his own. This time it was a wall that stopped the car, tomorrow it is a child. But this is not an issue, because a "racist" "made up" a story
Funny that a judge would need council. Aren't judges supposed to be uber judiciaries? The justice system is so fickle that even a judge needs somebody to blame if something doesn't go his way. If not for that reason, then they have council because they suck. Either way it is not good...

It's not really that difficult, if you have the right tools. And given that this is an x-generation copy - how could you tell it had been manipulated?
This is not a comment of the guilt or otherwise of anyone, just an observation that the original recordings are not available, so how do you know for sure whether the copies presented have been altered in any way? (Apart from correlating the digital evidence with the oral evidence already led.)
@antowan: Counsel is needed to present the case in court. Not sure whether Motata was at any stage a J or SC, but as they say "The lawyer who represents himself has a fool for a client."

I am pretty sure that manipulating something in such a way as that it does not appear to have been manipulated takes a huge amount of skill and resources. Manipulating data may be relatively easy but that tends to be destructive. So we're back to it probably (in relative terms) being easier to fabricate the entire footage than edit in some choice language.

Perhaps for video - less so for audio. I doubt that you're getting much quality off a cellphone's mic in any case, any editing could be hidden by the general noise.
Obviously, creating additional footage is a different kettle of fish - I'm talking only about removing information.
Look, I'm not saying that the files were edited - just that it is not as difficult as people are making out and that more care should have been taken with the original recordings.
Jip. Like keeping the original video on the phone. Should have been the first priority of not only the owner of the phone, but also the police.
