Don't do it!!!! I took up the offer and ended up being down for a whole week!!!!
I had a similar issue, but it was an incorrect configuration on the VDSL port. I would get an IP address from the ISP but nothing would flow. Same across all ISP's.
My line is with Afrihost and they were brilliant in getting Telkom to sort it out. Telkom even came to my house to check the wiring etc, but being in IT I knew it was the port and behold so it was
Was down for maybe 24 hours and since then I have been flying. 40mb service (I get around 32, which I am happy with)
