I just wonderd if any of you guys would know where i can buy a Wireless repeater (basestation) that will cover about 5Km? I are wanting to make a WAN
These repeaters works onn RF I think, much like the ones you use for two-way radios

The question is will it cover 5Km? i cant think of a normal AP no matter how good it is that will cover 5Km even if it is line of sight.

am i wrong?

A Yagi will cover 3-5km with comfort, but thats directional. A good enough omni could do the same with LOS.

You can cover up to 20km quite easily. I have a 7km 802.11b link running without hassles.
