Vertcoin

Climbing nicely but unfortunately Im not taking advantage, just trying to get back to my accidental position....

Asked the question but seems it is like getting blood from stone? For non-miners how do we acquire?

Still climbing & the local pool is churning away nicely

Yep I'm happy I put a card on VTC.

I only have one on VTC. Another on XMR, 2x Nicehash and 2x on Eth+DCR+SIA.

I only have this one rig.

How much of your resources are you putting on VTC?

All of them. I was mining ETH & ETC but when I got wind of VTC I moved all my rigs across, that was when VTC was like $1.6

Do you reckon vtc would still be around in 5-10 years? There are so many currencies out there at the moment doing the exact same thing

That's a difficult one to call. There are a lot of cryptos out there but none are like vertcoin.
Vertcoin is unique because of the way it manages it's mining process and rewards. It encourages smaller/solo mining as opposed to large mining operations so that everyone has a chance to mine. It is also decentralised so instead of a couple of large outfits setting up and managing pools and charging you fees and only paying out when you reach a certain amount of coins, anyone can setup a pool and payouts happen as soon as a block is solved.

A lot of people are under the illusion that if they started mining bitcoin in say 2013/2014 they would have a ****load of bitcoins today. The problem with that idea is that they don't take into consideration the increased difficulty and investment needed to continue to mine. As I'm sure you know btc cannot be mined successfully with a GPU rig, you need ASIC, and a lot of them, which means a big investment. That same scenario can't happen to the same degree with VTC.

The underlying technology used by the vertcoin guys and their principles is what I believe makes VTC a good investment. Anything can happen, but that's where I am putting my hashes for now ;)

So is anyone getting a lost connection on splatgrave? it happens throughout the day for me, my GPUS are still running bit no mining is taking place, a bit frustrating, is there anyway to get ccminer to auto restart on failed connection?

Not really a fan of p2pool. I'd suggest moving to miningpoolhub.com... no issues at all with connections there.
