Very high ping when in games!

Hi all, i recently moved to a new place and got my internet back again after telkom came to install everything and mweb had to do what ever it is they must do. The problem now is that my ping is extrememly high when im in games? I have tried Dota but my ping averages from 500 to 1000 same with HoN, TF2, Quake live and CoD. This has been happening for the past 6days.

My ISP is mweb, i have the 384 uncapped(I know its slow so im supose to have high ping but i never had 500, at most i had 100 in my previous place)
I did a speedtest which is here:

I have checked my pc and router to see if anything else is running but i cant find anything else at all.

I have avast and spybot for security and i just use my normal windows firewall.

I also I downloaded DU meter, installed it and nothing is uploading or downloading (both at 0.0kbs)

I also ran a trace route, one from Mweb and the other from the webafrica trial account:

your exchange is the problem, it is probably over congested, test a other isp to be sure.

He already tested with both Mweb & WebAfrica, which he called 'WebOnline' < LOL :)

Those trace routes show a congested/oversubscribed Exchange.

Could you perhaps tell us where you live? City + Suburb please...

Lol, shut up....... :P my bad. I fixed it :D, now back to the subject, if it is congested, not exactly familiar with that......? Is there any way to fix it? Guessing i must phone either mweb or telkom?
 
The BRAS you are on is fine, or at least it looks fine from this side. However the DSLAM you are on is oversubscribe and congested. All you can do is complain and comain some more to Telkom.
 
Lol, well its just my gamming thats got the high pings, yet my downloads and torrents are still at their normal speeds....? Pada i live in Cape Town, Durbanville.
 
Uncapped accounts are not meant for gaming. Get a capped unshaped account for gaming.
 
Well I disagree Wyzak. I have had an uncapped account since they were released (the mainstream ones anyway). I haven't had too many issues with gaming, in fact, the gaming has been the same on both capped and uncapped for me...

I'll just repeat what other have said: congested exchange.
Keep an eye on it for a while, it might get better. If not..start looking for alternative internet for gaming.
I've been where you've been and it took 2 years for it to be fixed.
 
Phone Telkom twice a day to get it fixed for a couple months. Nothing else you can do.
 
Durbanville exchanges are VERY congested. I was on it for a while till I moved, with Telkom being Telkom, I suggest you move. :( lol

One of the perks of living in the ghetto. ;) Our exchanges are brand new and almost empty. :)

This is very true. I moved to an 'upmarket' area and get horrible pings (local ranging from 500-1200ms). My cousins who stay in the 'ghetto', and who have the same ISP and internet package as me, get pings of 100-200ms. The exchanges the in areas which are traditionally 'upmarket' are generally very old and congested (eg. rondebosch cape town)
