A friend of mine in the UK has developed a Media playback Kit called "Vipz Playback Kit" for the past few years and is finally satisfied to release it into the "wild" for some critique and feedback.
It's an all in one media/codec pack designed to play almost anything you throw at it. (emphasis is on HD content)
Included is a custom compiled Media Player Classic - Home Cinema making use of the new LAV Splitter and Audio Decoder.
It is highly customizable through the installer, however will work just fine for novice users with the default settings.
