Has anybody else noticed the water temperature at most VA's is quite low? It's winter ffs.

Was almost always the opposite for me, and a hot stuffy gym is a **** place to train

Gym contracts are a scam. Another thing they should teach in schools. Always chuckle at the people driving to the gym to work out when they can just walk/run around the block for free.

Snapped my achilles tendon. They told me that even for medical reasons, there was no way to pause virgin membership or vitality.

I've been with Virgin and Vitality for almost ten years now, and I've never paid a renewal fee. I did need to pay the vitality joining fee a second time, but this was because I cancelled my gym contract after it lapsed and then joined again a year later.

If you're a consistent gym-goer then the monthly gym fee savings well outweigh the joining fee and the monthly Vitality fee. I have a contract because I'm part of a swim team, but if you're not interested in the training equipment or the pool, you're better off with your own sports, or even joining Viva (if there's one close to you) since they have month to month memberships.

Im pre 2010 membership; so its free Make sure i do my visits to keep it as the kids are linked to me for swimming lessons. So pretty good deal for cost of vitality.... and i think my work at the time paid the joining fee as incentive to exercise
