Considering that St Peter as the gatekeeper is portrayed as a black man , it is no wonder that Dominee "Van Zyl" of the Reformed Church would take offence, it is clearly a puritanical racist issue.
If freedom of religion is the freedom to worship what one chooses to, surely that means that we as a society should be free of religious bigotry and free from regulations or laws based on any one particular religion?, in other words , you can worship what you want , but we still have the right to joke about it as well.
Surely blasphemy can only be commited by someone who believes in that particular religion , not by someone who does not follow or believe in the same faith?
