Virgin Mobile ups data costs

I've had no problems with Virgins data. I think their pricing is perfect for people like me who only use about 5-10Mb a month for Mxit and maybe getting a game or two. Vodacom and MTN may be cheaper with bundles, what what if you don't need/want that 2Gb of data?

It's still way cheaper than vodacom out of bundle, yet I dont see myself switching from vodacom's HSDPA to virgin's edge network just for a couple of cents..

Okay, I really REALLY hate Virgin now!

Why is it that the service is sooo bad? Last night, I couldn't utilise my GPRS at all! And apparently MXit is free on the network .. yeah right!

Ive noticed that even if u have R 0.00 you can still connect to the net (mxit) but after that the connection will just hang as in you cant access more webpages unless you manually disconnect the GPRS and let it reconnect.

So it would let you go on mxit for 'free' but after logging in thers not much you could do

A raise from 50c to 60c is a lot!!! I mean if you transfer like 50mb that is a lot! Virgin Mobile so sucks now!!!

Boo to Virgin for increasing their rates. Big boo to the writer for trying to compare chalk and cheese. Biggest Boo to the VC and MTN for their disgraceful, near-criminal out-of-bundle rates.

Its not a new technology anymore. I can't believe we are stil paying this crazy price to send 1-2 Kilobytes of data..


I'm glad for virgin atleast they offer us a bit of variation
