Virgin Very Bad Tonight

Syndyre Virgin money is still ok but wish someone could run Virgin Mobile as well as Virgin Money, i've never had a problem. I've had enough now with Virgin Mobile and what is Gerald and Scuz really doing about anything, nothing has changed and they just seem to give up after a while. I had a "friend" at Virgin mobile but she didn't stick around too long after all the problems i had, perhaps they're all embarassed to even open their mouths. Virgin mobile is ok for sms and phone calls but should leave the internet for the big boys. I'm going to try Vodacom's new package of 500mb's for R 189.00
They will do something. I have their attention now :D

Ok, my VM was very bad tonight...I was pissed and NEEDED any kind of internet connection asap. I switched over to my Vodacom SIM...
*sound of a turtle speeding off at the speed of...a turtle*
Needlessly to say, I switched over to my VM within 30seconds again and enjoyed the speed.

Yea, my Vodacom GPRS was WORSE than my VM, THE PAGE that I wanted...needed to access timed out and I was quite surprised about that. I'll rather keep my MTN close to me from now on.

There is no direct link between Cell C technical and Virgin technical. That's why we have a problem. At the end of the day it is a management problem.
Like I said I don't think there should be a Virgin technical, Cell C should ensure the network is working right. Virgin should only ensure their side of things are working right.
Amazing how they couldn't see it coming too. Btw does anyone use Cell C itself for data? Just wondering if its as bad.
The problem was that Cell C was their only option. I think the communication is the problem in their own ranks as much as with the public but then what else is new. The cheap fast data was a good idea but does not work on the current network. Virgin should have invested in some Cell C infrastructure first, 512k per tower and who knows what lies beyond that simply isn't enough.
Ok I haven't tried Virgin Money myself, just heard bad stories about it.
The problem with Virgin Money is that they are using one of the 4 main players and so keeping the oligopoly in check instead of going directly through Visa and Mastercard and breaking it. Now they have to use their other companies to provide benefits instead of providing them directly.

I have people asking me why their Virgin internet isn't working. I am very tempted to tell them Vodacom. I know from experience that Vodacom's gprs is usually the worst of them all. Vodacom hsdpa is fast but the problem comes with phones that are only edge capable and automatically want to select Vodacom for "service".

Aparrently this slow speed and stop start, timeouts and other nonsense is only happening in the Cape. Can anyone confirm this?

It's in Gauteng as well, but not really a problem as it's only for a few minutes at most usually. It does **** up the modem however and then you have to disconnect and reconnect again.

cannot even download a 400k email.
could all people please move to vodacom so that i can download the file.

Lol Beri. I use a browser called Maxthon and it gives me the internet speeds and tonight the best speed i could get was between 512 bytes to 1.50 kb's per sec now this is so pathetic and what has been done about it? Zilch!!!! That's me with Virgin Mobile so typical all talk and no action!!!!!!

I don't understand. When speed is slow on gprs and edge it is usually fast on 3G and hsdpa. Does that mean the individual nodes can't handle the data as the core infrastructure seems to be working fine.

Captains log: Virgin is dead this morning. Scottie gave it all last night. Thanks to starship vodacom i could get this message out. HELP

They have no more dylithium crystals to stick in the warp core.

I am trying to send some sms's out via the VC website and my VM connection keeps timing out.

PS. Watch out for the Klingons

I've had it now with VM i'm just flogging a dead horse. It's been 10 months now and my fiancee still cannot send me sms to my VM simcard from Indonesia, nothing has been done about this, yes there were a lot of promises and to date still no action. So when do you think VM will ever do the right thing and improve the situation? Never!!! Talk is cheap money buys the whisky. RB is just taking our hard earned money to make himself richer!!!
It will be hello Vodacom on sunday for me the 1 gig special at R 289.00 will suit me fine, i just hope that the speed is up to scratch!!!

It was dead early morning for about an hour. Finally I gave up and went to sleep. This afternoon it was flying though.
