So anybody else got their hands on a copy?? I have the x64 version. So far not much different from the last rc. Atleast nothing that have noticed. Only difference so far that I see is sp1 listed under system properties and the evaluation watermark gone. Other's are the dx10.1 files added in the registry and system 32 folder.

Vista was running fine for me since the release of the first beta of sp 1 so I didn't expect much change. But it's good that it's out now, at least officially for rtm. The rest have to wait for march unless like me you know were to look.

The current RTM leak is the same build as Refresh 2.

I'm not sure if that is fake or not, but it looks real. They should have added some anti-crack measures and DX10.1.

Dx10.1 is actually in there. These two files under the 32 system folder indicates to that: d3d10_1.dll and d3d10_1core.dll

Plus in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMPONENTS\DerivedData\Componen ts\x86_microsoft-windows-directx-direct3d10.1_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.6001.18000_none_ 50297d65a99216fa

Build is 1800 and in the registry the names under current version include rtm so I am pretty confident this is the final build. Control panel and system just says service pack 1 but under the registry it's build 1800 and under system information it's also listed as service pack 1.

Thanks.

I just finished downloading the X86 build. Was your copy also one of the leaks that used the first RC build number for the installer even though it installs as the RTM build.

Or did you download the entire ISO again?

My download says the same kb name as the former rc.

It's worth it imho. If your already running one of the latest rc it might not make a big difference to wait for the official release but if your running vista without sp1 I would install sp1. Just be aware some drivers might have problems that's why it's delayed till march for official release to the public.
