Tried vitality broadband this last month and it is superb to say the least.

Speeds are great, support is good, everytime you call support you get an email stating what the problem was, who attended to your problem and what solution was suggested to solve the problem.

This is what we all should expect from something we pay for.

(R44.00 per GIG International, great price too) :)

10g's of saix international from openweb @R45.90 per gig or webafrica @R49.00 per gig and you don't have to belong to vitality either ;)

This is however on IS's backbone and its not their semi fiber so its nice satellite connection.

not that bad, its just ± another R100 p/m out of your pocket, which unfortunately excludes your discovery membership :)

Really? Strange i use IS all month and it runs like a dream. Saix also have days where they are slow. I did like 60 gigs last month at full 4meg speed on IS, also most people i know use IS and love it.

Cheaper and runs well. The reason saix is more expensive is not the quality but because telkom just rips us off. Just because something costs more does not mean its better quality.

Yes at one stage IS did have a few problems but i would say since the beginning of the year IS has been running really well and fast.

Sure they have a few network problems in a month but not worse than SAIX.
 
Yea they have done some major network upgrades i think this year because wow i like IS, nothing like watching grabit downloads go at 420kbs the whole month :).
 
Personally, my IS accounts have been working much faster then SAIX. Especially the last few days.
 
Over 70gig's on IS .. 2mb line ... slow? I don't think so.

and thats only after hours and week ends .. and I didnt go for more cause it costs money ... :) .. but there is absolutely nothing wrong with IS.

I have SAIX and IS .. Its basically the same ... One thing though .. YouTube videos run smoother on IS .... :p

I doubt very much that a company like Discovery would go for an inferior product ... :p

You guys talking about international or local IS accounts? I have 2 local IS accounts and cannot complain about them.

Not related to the ADSL offer, but we had a discussion today about the Discovery smoke and mirrors marketing strategies.... and the outcome? Always read all the fine print carefully as what is offered is almost impossible to achieve unless you never use your Discovery medical aid, spend a fortune on your Discovery credit card and go to gym plenty every year as well as having all the required check ups/tests done and give up all required habits! ;)
