Hi, Because off MyBB [[saw telkom gives double this month]], I downloaded too much and are now capped. I register with telkom to manage my account, but they said it takes 3 days.

my problem is this. while vlc is playing a movie in win7, when you want to move the mouse to pause or stop, "their comes a cat" and the mouse jumps to top left. I have not try to watch movie with another prog, dont no if its Vlc or what.
I say it's software and my daughter wants another laptop. [[Adobe flash and illustrator were open during this event.]]

VLC is nice (on linux) but sucks under Windows.

I still have VLC installed but never use it on Win 7.

I moved to the "K-Lite Codec Pack" instead and have never had a single issue with playback of anything.

PS: If you download .MKV files then you have to do a custom install of K-Lite Codec Pack and manually select the .MKV codec.

Only issue I have with VLC is my mouse sometimes does not disappear after a few seconds.

:wtf: Works like a bomb for me on 4 different pc's running win 7 home premium, pro and ultimate. I'm interested to hear how it sucks...

VLC definitely doesn't suck & is probably one of the best freeware application on the planet.

I have it running on about 40 workstation as well as for recording live radio streaming off the Internet.

My only complaint would be that it doesn't support RMTP streaming.

I've just tried watching an .avi series using VLC 117 under Win7 Home Premium.

I can move the mouse off screen and it stays where it was put. If I use full screen and leave the pointer in the middle, it disappears. Then when I move the mouse it appears in exactly the same spot.

LOL @ spiderz.

grouter, I've had issues with VLC on many Windows machines.
It's my player of choice under Linux but not under Windows.

I've had machines just reboot while playing DVD, or the mouse pointer stays on screen or comes and goes or the screen flickers while playing media.
The "machine just reboots" is the most annoying of the VLC issues.

Granted, some issues might have had another cause but.
The moment I install K-Lite codec pack all media playing issues just disappear.
