I would personally enjoy a service where you can use your phone for streaming radio (idea is stations not in your area) . Much like you use a N70 for radio tuner you will be able to listen to internet radio via VLive.

I would love to listen to AlgoaFM while on the go (I am in CT so no, cant just adjust my car radio) , and with a cellphone, Vlive and headset, this could happen :D

Same would apply for BBC Radio, or Moneyweb etc.
Something tells me I would probably be like the only person looking for this :(

Quite a topical discussion at the moment.

What about a service like pandora.com?

I have yet to use pandora.com however what I do know about it that does sound really good.

Points browser to pandora.com

Yeah, using it now, I really really like it :D

Pandora is traffic crazy, so GPRS might be slightly slow for it. This is a brilliant service.

well, i'd possibly use a service like that (albeit very sparingly, considering what it would cost ;) )

I would say fixed yes. Mobile TV is good (they need some more channels now), and they dont seem to enforce the limit on there so thats okay, but I dont think there should really be a limit in the first place.

- Fixed Fee for unlimited access (Maybe once off for unlimted channels, or a amount per channel, but not for per minute or per 10 minute / per hour, that puts pressure on someone to watch how long they are using it.)

- Fee needs to be reasonable

- Some way to have broad selection of stations, if I want to listen to a station from Holland over the Vlive stream for example I should be able to. Dont forget the reason we doing this.. AlgoaFM :D lol

as long as there is an option for your more infrequent user as well (like me :)).

let's say i only listen for a few minutes a day, then i would not go for it if the fixed fee would cost me more than what the normal data usage would have cost me had i been listening on my pc (hope that made sense :))

tricky one, i guess...

Q: Why do you need to know my zip code?

At this time we are only licensed to offer Pandora music services to residents of the United States. Audio streaming regulations differ from country to country, and we are working on acquiring the proper licenses so we can legally offer Pandora outside of the United States. We require your zip code to confirm that you are a resident of the United States.

does it even work outside the States? I really dont think we allowed to use it , says its only meant for americans. That's my thought.

I got it to work. Just type in any US postal code :-)
Its working on my pc, but i have no idea how to get it to work on my phone, need some sort of player!

In my opinion, fixed monthly fee will not come anytime soon... And vlive tv streams are ridicilously high priced, no way in hell im paying that much for so little...

So they dont, but for how long?
I dont see the point in paying R60 for 3hours, (R20/hour) for TV

I'd also like a similiar service where you pay a fixed monthly fee for say something like 30 audio channels, they could have a broad mix from talk, music and sports.

Multichoice will probably launch a radio service when it launches DVB-H.... Will be far cheaper anyway.
