Hi folks

AS part of this year’s broadband survey we need a few tests using the “Line Speed Meter” It will be great if you can install the Line Speed Meter, run a few tests and post your results URL.

http://www.tcpiq.com/tcpIQ/LineSpeed/Download/

The more tests the better, but even if you can just run one or two tests it will help tremendously.

Just for good measure we will throw in two MP3 players for two lucky testers :D

Regards,

RPM

I'm getting minus results! Something's off!

I know my throughput speed is up to maggots in the evenings, but this is ridiculous.

Any ideas as to what is going wrong?

Hey @rpm. How long do you want us to run this for? I have been firing it up in the evenings because at work I use a different connection. So I am happy to do so until you take final stock of the readings.

tcpIQ Speed Test

@rpm. I dont like what I see it is demoralizing. DL lower than UL :confused:

@v3g. Your comments. Is this for real? So who do we believe speedtest/speednet /tcpIQ??
Latency Zero 0 :confused:

@rpm IMO I don't think this is a good test to use for getting an overall view of 3G speeds. It is a waist of almost 1MB & costly, if used on useless results.:p

Hi Codemaster

Thanks a bunch for the help! WE will compile the results on Saturday, so no need to continue testing after than.

Options tcpIQ

@rpm
@v3g

Which option 3G do we select during setup of the test
3G (Dialup over W-CDMA)
3G W-CDMA (Includes Next-G)
Wireless Proprietary

I have used option 1 is that correct ???

:cool:

Not much time, I will do as many tests as possible until then.
It's just a pity that my connection is ACTUALLY working today, would have liked to see the results of my connection from the past 2 weeks :mad:

Option 2, then the speed is 1800/384 (but I don't think it will matter if you selected option 1, as long as you selected the correct speed)

I'm uninstalling. For whatever reason, this thing isn't working for me. I've checked firewall settings, rechecked all the installation settings. Tested over Telkom ISP ADSL as well. Something is blocking it and I can't figure out what it is.

Ignore my results, it just ain't working.
