Vodacom activates WiFi calling for iPhone?

I've noticed my WiFi calling started working about yesterday or so - Interesting! Anyone else?

Still working great my side since December:) volte and wifi calling. I'm on smart m. I had to call them and ask them to activate volte, but that's about it

What phone do you have?
Note 8, SM-N950F/DS, flashed with the S8+ Vodacom CSC. It has nothing to do with the phone though. Get Vodacom to activate VoLTE on your handset, turn it on, and you should be good to go

I have the S8+ and mine works but only if the cell reception is 1 bar. When I had the iPhone 7 it worked whenever I was connected to WiFi.

It seems Vodacom VoWiFi has stopped working for the last week or so, anybody else experiencing this?

Was it ever activated again? It's actually causing my calls to drop as soon as i answer them.

Yep it was working great up until about a week ago and then suddenly stopped.

I didnt even know it was working. Usually I'd get the VoWiFi label instead of Vodacom, but didnt see anything.

Yep signal is very bad at my house, so if I don't have the VoWiFi label I cant make or receive calls.

....only certain devices are supported according to VC website

So when i call the Customer care... what exactly should i ask for? Just activate the Voice Over LTE and Voice Over Wifi service?

Some feedback - I just spent about two weeks on and off trying to get VoWIFI on Vodacom working. Turns out, after about 8 calls to support, and multiple escalations, VoWIFI still does not work on Vodacom if roaming is enabled. I was told that there is a workaround, and that the workaround would be applied to my account - still nothing, and customer care won't even respond anymore. Gave up and got a Cell C prepaid sim - VoWIFI works perfectly(!)
