Vodacom ad-hoc data prices discounted

Well, to be fair you need to compare the effective per mb rate and not the different discounts on the already 'bigger discount as you purchase a larger quantity' imo:
0100 029 R0.2900/mb
0250 059 R0.2360/mb
0500 099 R0.1980/mb
1024 149 R0.1455/mb
2048 279 R0.1362/mb

1GB = 1000mb or 1024mb with vodacom?
 
Vodacom displays too much of Telkom's attitude! :sick:

IMO a contract with Vodacom would not be a good idea as they don't seem to be worried that their network quality and range basically sucks compared to the two other cellular providers (just cellc and 8ta is better). These discounts would be worth it if they could try addressing some of my concerns with their network quality. I have given my work 3G back for the mere fact that Vodacom sucks these days and they do not seem too worried about improving any of their shortcomings in the near future.

Sounds a bit too much like the do not care attitude of another South African company called "Telkom". :whistle:

For their expensive data, Vodacom do sort out reported network issues especially when reported to the customer care email. The call centre staff are useless, they try to fob you off with bs. With the email you can respond when they try to bs you which happened to me when I tried to find out how a wasp picked up my MSISDN, the one guy said it was a call divert feature which was total bs and I told him as much. Only then did he go find someone who understood what MSISDN forwarding meant.
 
On the other hand I told MTN I will not renew my contract with them until they sort out their network issues and they haven't come back to me in more than 5 months. MTN is bottom of the pile re: network quality. 8ta and Cell C have the prices but not the coverage.

If you log in and buy a bundle, the correct pricing will show. Busy fixing the table you see when you just browse the site. Apologies for that.

Log in and go to the purchase page (like the OP did) and you'll see the pricing.
 
Based on comments, I gather: The term ad-hoc bundle means airtime over and above your allocated monthly top-up. So if you've accumulated R400 in roll-over airtime, you still need to go and buy additional airtime before you can take 'advantage' of this 'special'.

1024, so the rate is a *tad* lower than what you posted:

0100 28c/MB
0250 23c/MB
0500 19c/MB
1024 14c/MB
2048 13c/MB
 
Hi Jannie, not sure what I'm doing wrong but I checked *111# and the vodacom website but for the recurring bundles the prices still show the old prices. I called the call center and Fazela (I think that's how her name was spelt) had no idea what I was talking about and said the prices are the same on her system. I'm hesitant to just buy and find out I did something wrong. Also, if I cancel the "recurring" option immediately afterwards will the data still last to the end of the following month and just not auto-renew?
