Ooooooooh ... meloves the "complacency" slap. Some industry experts predict that 2007 will be the year where wireless broadband subscriber numbers overtakes its fixed line counterparts in South Africa, and Telkom’s complacency may be one of the main reasons for this trend.
Both Vodacom and CellC are preparing new data packages with the aim of bringing more value to their subscribers.
"Both Vodacom and CellC are preparing new data packages with the aim of bringing more value to their subscribers."
They meant: "Both Vodacom and CellC are preparing new data packages with the aim of innovating the method with which they overcharge you , largely in reaction to MTN's recent data cost reductions.

Theres no reaction, dates were set a long time ago they dont do things like you think.
Timing is critical and being first to launch is not always the best way of doing things.
I do conceptually understand the issue, I was just so irrationally irritated by the "aim of bringing more value to their subscribers" comment, which is complete BS.
Definitely. I hardly use my landline except for ADSL. MTN is getting close with 2Gb for R400, but that requires a 24 month contract. What would be bloody fantastic, is if Vodacom could provide a truly competitive product to ADSL i.e. 3Gig usage on HSPDA 1.8 mbps for under R400 a month. That would certainly cause a shakeup in the market. I would sure as hell jump ship from Telscum!!!
I will prepare a new toilet roll in anticipation.
Depends, do I still get a quad bike in the new dealsSingle ply, double ply, sandpaper or cheese grater?![]()
