Vodacom and MTN iPhone 4 launch details

these salespeople with mouths rarely have a clue as to what they're talking about. As they say...if you want something done right, do it yourself.

I agree, but these same clueless people are the ones updating the website so it's a catch-22. And you should chill, guy. I wasn't flaming you.

But your brain seems pretty small cmyplay, considering you believe whatever **** the sales people say to you.

I didn't. That's why I got it in print. As a quote. And I'm not the only one:

With the 150Mb data from MTN, I signed up for that today - just remember it's actually just 75Mb with 75Mb "free" until end of December.

Next time you want to comment about someone elses brain, make sure yours isn't running on empty first. Attaboy, champ.

Apparently, quoting a person on the mybb forums = fact.

I'll remember that when doing one of my citations.

I doubt you could do a full citation since I'm surprised you can use words with three syllables. Whatwhat signed up for the contract. I was quoted for the contract. The pricing list I posted on Tuesday was cropped: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/269141-iPhone-4-launched-in-SA-on-Tuesday-night/page4 To the left it has a timeline that ends on 1 Jan 2011. Stop being a clod with a hurt ego and get over it.

.... imagine paying almost R1000 a month on connectivity, :wtf: oh yes, I do that with Telkom every month. :o

Steve Jobs and his company are a bunch of idiots and I support enough idiots right here in SA... I dont really need to go and look abroad to sponsor more of them.

Nothing mentioned here: http://www.mtnsp.co.za/SHOP/Pages/AppleIphone.aspx.

Now all i have to do is wait for Vodacom to get new stock... they say "end of the month"

And to think i almost went with MTN. Ah well time to upgrade.

When you sign up. It's 75Mb data with 75Mb data free until the end of December.

I still haven't been able to find that anywhere on their site at all....
So if that is the case, then its false advertising on MTN's part...

Vodacom was quick to respond

Or maybe they just buckled under the pressure!

They seem to be pulling the wool over our eyes again. A TopUp 275 is a monthly cost of R275.00. A monthly bundle of 110MB is R88.00. Unless there are SMS's and VAS charges included in the new R379.00 contract, they're slapping an extra R16 per month on top.

Still, it's nice that they aren't charging for the microsim.

You're right. From a consumer protection point-of-view it should state somewhere that terms and conditions apply.

Even though I've already upgraded with them, Vodacom sent me a message yesterday to say they had more stock. SMS "iPhone" to 31118 and they'll supposedly get someone to call you.

Free Sim, Free Connection, Free Delivery... but is the phone free?
