Vodacom becoming complacent

Vodacom did become a mediocre mess after Pieter Uys left as CEO.

Network became unbearable around 2018.

Now one sits with an abusive relationship with MTN.

The customer service pretty much horrific and a dead network during loadshedding but I just couldn’t handle the consistently poor network at Vodacom anymore.

Vodacom's network is not doing any better in load shedding.

at least with MTN, I can get reasonable self service through an Afrihost or Axxess. Its the only thing that makes it tolerable.

Article, full of holes, however from 2018 they showed they were becoming unstable, poor management, especially middle and senior.
From 2018, MTN had a clear plan to become number 1. They also poached a lot of Vodacom staff.
Now that Vodacom lost their government contracts they are in trouble.

Sometime ago, MBB interviewed Jannie from Vodacom, and he tried his best to convince us that all is ok, but I asked him that they start sorting out the Customer Care at Vodacom and his typical load mouth answer confirmed to me that Vodacom has dropped anchor. No movement anymore.
