Vodacom boosts 3G broadband network

This fact would have relevance to me only if their coverage in my area has improved.
Not that they have data bundles that I would like to use in amy case.

They actually tried to improve the coverage in my area, but all the crazies and nutjobs started bleating like a bunch of lambs who had more than their wool shorn off.
The dumb luddites thought that they wouldn't be able to have any more kiddies if the towers went up. If only that was the case! :D

5,263 3G base stations, of which more than 4,300 are self-provisioned via fibre and microwave. As much as I dislike VodaCON, this is an impressive figure.

Telkom must be kicking themselves for forcing the operators to start self-providing, all those years ago. They could have been raking in hundreds of millions each year from the mobile operators. But now they struggle, and business and consumers try to avoid them wherever possible. That's why government should not be in business - they should stick to governing (which they suck at too).

Agreed.
