I do not know where else to ask, so here goes.
I have a Vodacom prepaid sim card, after a bit of a struggle I disabled voicemail (calling 132) then checking that it is disabled by calling 082 121, which it is.
Now if I call this number after about 5 rings there is a voice that says the person you are calling is unable to be reached, which is weird, because I am sitting here listening to the phone ring.
So I do not want any of my calls to be sent to voicemail or have the call be cut off by Vodacom because it "rang too long".
The reason is that sometimes I get important call in the middle of the night and just as I reach for the phone, the call is cut off, I would like to prevent this from happening.
Does this work better or as expected on other networks, be cause I expect that if I turn off voicemail/mailbox the phone will ring until I answer or the other person disconnects the call.
