vodacom cheats on new price for data

The promotion will give customers double data for the same price when they buy bigger bundles which include MyGig 1, MyGig 1.5, MyGig 2 and MyGig 2.5

I purchased an advanced 2Gb once off bundle and got 2.2Gb not 4Gb. I will write to the ASA, ICASA and all newspapers today about Vodascum conning me. luckily I will be able to claim back my money in terms of the Consumer Protection Act as the goods were defective and not as advertised!

You're supposed to buy a broadband standard bundle, as those match the new bundle sizes and prices (although the press release certainly wasn't clear, I would call customer care about this). Anyway I just bought the 2.5 gb bundle and got 5120mb so, for this month at least, the new price is worth it. I've got the 8ta 10gb package and a wifi modem so I'll only buy lower end bundles from December, and unless Vodacom drastically improves prices I'll be moving to 8ta or Cell C next year.

The double data promotion is not for Advanced , only Standard bundles.

When I wanted to get my 1.3GB data bundle this month, I also saw that only 1.0GB was available for my R315 airtime . What the heck vodacom! ripoff Very unhappy about this.

So with R315 airtime each month, I used to be able to get:

R289 -> 1.3 GB

Now:

R279 - 1.0 GB

And if I use up the remainder, to try and get more data:

R25 -> 30 MB
R9 -> 10MB

So:

R313 -> 1 GB, and 40 MB, vs R 289 -> 1.3 GB !!! ..the Red robbing devil!

I'm glad my contract is expiring next month!
