Vodacom contract ending

So my contract is ending, not sure when as I cannot find that out (the useless Tobi AI doesn't know) selecting 'speak to a human' option doesn't work... typical Vodacom I guess. I wanted to know 1) when my contract ends, and 2) when it does does it automatically go over to a pay as you go or do I need to ask someone for that to happen? thanks
 
On the Vodapay app you can go view details on the number and it shows you the expiry date.

Then atleast a month before - you call in, tell them to move to prepaid, sit through a long story about how you are a valued customer and we'd like to offer you x, y or z blah blah.
Then say no and get a reference number.

This is what I did for my contract expiring this month.
 
If you want to go prepaid, dial 0821959. If you want to upgrade, go into a store (or do it online though I dont recommend this route...so many complaints on here about the online and telephonic upgrades). If you do neither, it will just run month to month as @epah said.
