Vodacom data price-cut promotion extended

Vodacom’s broadband standard contract promotional pricing is as follows (SIM-only):

I took out the 2gig on TopUp last month. Very very happy with it and at R99 its worth it.

A lot of their data contracts are available on TopUp, but they don't really want to tell you that. You also score first 3 months free on a lot of their online contracts with free connection & delivery.

I ordered a contract that came with a free modem and just double checked that it was TopUp when I had to activate it.

Actually, we try to tell you that at every opportunity.

Only thing to consider is that with Top Up you don't get the second Night Owl bundle while you do with Contract. For some this works well, especially the bigger bundles where you can schedule your downloads after hours.
 
jannie, given that 3 of my friends have just gotten the 2gig contract recently, I can pretty much assure you, your sales people do NOT tell them that they can get it on top up.

They've all gotten it on a normal contract and were not told that it was available as a topup at all. I only managed to catch 1 friend before they went off and got it, and told them to ask for it as a top up.

There's no incentive for sales people NOT to tell people that it's available on Top Up. It's been on TU for more than a year now, so it should be common knowledge.
 
If it isn't proprietary business information:
What commission do the retailers make on TU vs Contract packages?
Surely that is where the possible incentive issues could kick in.
 
Ok now, how long does these top ups last when topping up. 1 month, 2,3,6, 1 year or does not expire. Jannie?

I'm aware of that, and I'm not trying to attack you (though I'm sure you know this :) )...

Just pointing out what is actually happening on the ground.
 
Currently I have the MyGig 1 – R149 bolt on "promo". :( I just wish prices would come down further.
 
Ok, what do I do now? New bundle has been loaded and the promo is coming to an end on Saturday. Do I cancel now or before the end of July?
