Make Telkom charge per second as well!

Actually "part therof" charging exists in many industries - just need to consider that the cell companies may introduce a minimum call charge and then per second. You could be worse off depending on your call profile

Dozy Mashile is far to thin on delivery and way to many promises ahead for anyone to take him seriously anymore.

Why? His comments were quite emphatic on the ADSL regulations. Rather, it is the long delays in implementation and the lack of enforcement that label ICASA as toothless.

If the Virgin Mobile CEO is serious in the postion that he is declaring for himself and his company with those statements, then I will be looking in their direction come the end of my cell contract.;)

As long as he isnt just trying to impress the crowd then this should be welcome news. Perhaps he's had a bit of pressure from above to deal with the issues at hand.

Yesterday he postpones MNP, today he's gonna fight per second billing! Gimme a break... I bet they're quaking in their boots over at Vodacom:rolleyes:

We'll be better off if ICASA self-destructs, it will leave the field open for the newcomers to the market to show some fancy footwork, and not have to wait for permission to wipe their own arses.
 
Put offenders' feet in the fire? That's all very well, so long as you recognise that the 'offenders' you need to hunt down are the big-ass operators, not the municipalities attracting investment and economic growth.
 
I wish had such passion for our problems....Telskommel boredband is on life support atm!

Icasa Fights Windmills

To create an impression that a second operator is a step forwards creating a false sense of comfort.

Probably compared to Zimbabwe it is a step forwards, but the point is
what is the benchmark ?

Compared to the rest of the world SA will fall even further behind and for

the years to come the country is denying itself to act and the state remains

a problem and in stead of taking the problems away and see internet as

a mind blowing opportunity, especially for the poor, that would not be too

bad as day in day out talking about grow targets of 6% which is in itself

too low to get things moving and everyone with a little bit of sense his mind

knows that nor this or next year it will be achieved.

The amount of information which is published on a day to day basis about

corruption, missmanagement, obstruction of justice, lack of interest and

knowledge which leave the parastals dominated by politics and not by

common sense.The long term damage will be a further escalation of social

unrest and frustration.A political party is the total sum of individuals with a

common target, failing to admit to accept the fact the struggle for equality

on the basis of one man one vote principale was a common objective of

different groups.Labour Unions and political parties should not hold eachother

at ransom but seperate in pride and do what they were in the first place

founded for.
 
ICASA says all the right things, but do it so friggin slowly if ever...
 
They say a lot a do little,maybe some took nap pillow away and/or his kickback?
