For me they called to schedule the installation for the next day. So i had fibre like 2 days after my area showed it was live on their site. I did put in my order like 3 months before the area went live though.

From what I understand, now you start hoarding up powerbanks to support your phone whilst waiting for their call centre to do anything for your line/router.

Think we waited like 3 days for the assigned "contractor" to do the installation, they called a day beforehand.

It sucks when Vodacom FTTH is your only option. Everyone complains about the speed and service and their FUP and T&C is from the middle ages. I'll take Telkom over them anyday .. thats how unhappy people are in my area with Vodacom fibre.

You forgot about their high prices. Although for me their speed and service has been fine. I don't game though.

Did they first schedule an appointment to come and assess the install?
Because I thought I booked the install date, now I get an sms confirming the assessment ????

@Deadmanza

Yeah they first did the assessment, following day they started with the install. Ours was pretty straight forward so only took a day or two, can't really recall.

For me they just came and did the installation. They were done in under 4 hours.
This was on vodacoms own fibre network.

Fibre installed, overall very quick and efficient.
My only gripe is, I booked for 1 - 5PM.
They rocked up at 9am and I had to leave work...
But my speeds are great! My ping in path of exile is great!

Will see if it stays this awesome!
