Presumably this ruling should make Vodacom happy since they 'never promised anyone 7.2 mb/s. Now the record has been set straight: What great relief for Vodacom!
Well as far as consumer protection is concerned, we only have the ASA. ICASA has been proven time and again not to be on our side. The rest ... pffft.What's the use of these socalled ASA "rulings" ? Vodacom may not use the add anymore - just like yelling at your dog for p*ssing on the lawn: it has no effect.
What about the cost to consumers who laid out money based on a deliberately vague and misleading advertsing claim?
