Has anyone tried this yet and could provide some feedback on it?

I was using Vodacom Fixed LTE with an vodacom supplied antennae but it was disaster as often the LTE wouldn't connect (even my vodacom cell phone signal was dead - couldn't even make calls). I had fights with vodacom for over 2 years without success.

I then switched to MTN LTE with two antennae's earlier this year, which worked for a few months but now is giving me trouble and is also constantly going and off so Vodacom have suggested this microwave link that is apparently better their LTE for rural access .

Requires line of sight to the tower etc. Also...only available to business accounts. I have a few customers on it. When it works...it works well...but can go offline too.

Any idea of the km range for it? Does all their towers support it?... What prices are we looking at cause I am sure I can see it from my farm

I am using Vodacom business wireless.
Link is from a tower about 10km away.

Works perfectly with almost no downtime. R3k a month for a 80mps up/down link. Speeds are not limited and we get 100mpbs upwards on some days.
Watching the f1 over the link in HD now with no buffering.

It is expensive but we need it for our business. Wireless is the only other option but much slower here

PM me for a contact that will sort you out.

I have been using the Microwave link for the last few weeks. Soo far so good. Very impressed. Reliable up and down speeds. We have the 40 MB'S link and ping is good too!

Comsol also operate a licenced layer 2 network which some ISPs might sell internet access on.
