The problem is when u send a picture from mms to email (thru the 079 number in my case), the picture arrives in the email with new a name (media1.jpg in my case), this makes it imposible for the webservices to identify the original name of the picture as the user named it. also the sender user wont be able to identify their sent pictures by name without viewing the pic.

I think voda has to keep those original names or maybe add it to their new names. (e.g originalname.jpg mms-email new name originalname_media1.jpg ) so we would be able to stil identify our pics no metter how we send then over netwoks.
if any1 have a solutionor any suggestion to this, yr help will be much appreciated.

PM me more details with examples and contact info and I'll pass to the MMS guys for comment.

this is the correct way how we send mms-emai;
v3 mot: msg>new>multimed>menu>insert>pic>selct>insert>sendto>NewEmail>[email protected]>ok>Send: ssedinig:10% ...
IT is not a mobile email to email, ve though names shouldn't get lost.

I believe this also causes havoc when sending a picture through to facebook via MMS to email, facebook is expecting a simple email with an attachment, not a fancied up html email with an embedded pic.

sho, i've noticed that local operators inject extra pics as ads or spam with every mms/sms we send at our own cost,

we not sending out mms but receiving, even if were selling, it would be money in the making .

BIG BUG NOT YET SOLVED.
VODA TECHIES NOT SURE KHOW WAT 2 SAY
ANY HELP?

Not sure why you're shouting?

I've passed your request on to the guys, so please explain your statement above about Vodacom techies not being sure what to say.

I also mailed you late last night asking for more info and have not had a response to my mail yet, so why are you going on like this?

I'm here to help with whatever I can, and love it when this community actually work with us to better a product, but if you are going to post like this, should I bother? :confused:

Rantbot with bad grammar make eyes melt

I tried to run this through babelfish, but it is unable to translate it. :rolleyes:
