Check live.vodacom purchase history for anything suspicious that you did not opt in for. Call 135 and persist (ask for proof of where you opted in) and get a reference nr as well. Screenshot_20190630-190051__01.jpg

Option 2, after dialing *141*5# is upgrade eligibility. Option 4 is Content services.

@jannievanzyl why can't you block all future opt-ins like with CellC or default as off as like with Telkom? Is this another OOB like issue (hint hint)?

That's short term revenue boosts with a loss over the longer term.
Eh, long term - doesn't seem to bother them, otherwise the OOB shark would have been gone long ago - thats why 7 years later I still refuse to take out a contract with them..

I have been battling incessantly with Vodacom about fraudulent subscriptions to WASP services. I demanded that they cancel the subscription, refund the charges and block all future subscriptions. They did that and a few minutes later I get SMS's informing me that I have been resubscribed. Seems the only way to get this to stop is to cancel my account with them.

I find it laughable that in today's day and age people will still be signing up with dinosaurs like Vodacom when these kind of things are happening to them. It really is only your own fault. I pulled the plug on MTN and Vodacom years ago. Speak with your wallets.

I still say the same thing - there is no logical reason for theses WASPS to exist - who legitimately uses these services.

Carrier based billing for like Google play or apple stores i get - but R7 a day for bible verses or porn - i mean really?
