Vodacom network problems (30 June 2011)

I think Vodacom forgot to pay their Mweb uncapped ADSL account. You know, the one they use to provide internet with to their subscribers, and now they got cut off.
 
One reason to get a BlackBerry, still got BB service via office wireless so at least getting mail etc
 
Same thing happened in Nelspruit. My girlfriend is on Vodacom and I couldn't contact her at all from 12h to after 13h.

Email, etc is available on any mobile phone that has WiFi when there's no 3G/EDGE/GPRS.
 
I am out. My missus is out and all her client's (trying to confirm appointments) are out too. This is problem is wider than is being credited! :(
 
Oh deary me! I think we should follow Bizkit87 and start a lawsuit. This business have lost so much money today because we are simply unable to get hold of directors/managers who are out of town. Thus have been unable to finalize payments to creditors, not even to mention being unable to contact clients and suppliers. We are completely and utterly SCREWED due to Vodacom's inefficiency. And it can't have anything to do with RICA, since we did our bit and Rica-ed in November already. There is one word to describe this entire gemors: PATHETIC.
 
I have two vodacom SIMs, one is an 082 on Topup 315 and the other is an 072 prepaid one that maybe spends R10 a month.
Vodacom, in their infinite wisdom, cut off the Topup 315 that has been on the network since 1999. I feel so appreciated.
 
So this outage has a knock on effect for other industries as well, most notably internet banking.
 
and to think a few years back we survived without any cellphones now this .
Think they messed up with the RICA somehow trying to cut ppl over maybe bit by bit starting at 13:00 and now they fooked it up.
AAAAA well sit and wait YAWN
 
MTN is also out apparently... people cannot get through to me on my cell
I could hazard a guess its the last minute RICA rush clogging the system
 
Hmmm, Vodacom data working (3G - so can still bank).....on the new 2Gb deal I started earlier this month, but nothing on the cellphone (started on contract in 2000 and RICA'd) in the Eastern Cape.
