Vodacom network problems (30 June 2011)

It's nice to see Vodacom admitting to the problem so fast.

I feel bad that so many subscribers are giving them grief... those guys must come try MWEB out and then we'll talk again about 'crap products and services' :mad:

Vodacom hardly ever has issues and gives the best service I've ever had.
 
First time I saw the Word "Congestion" appear as a Notification on my Cell.Phone
 
It says, I have been suspended but autopage says I am not. I hope it comes right soon!

i just lost a client, cause they couldnt get hold of me for a order,thanks vodaskum!
 
Stellenbosch has no data/MMS connectivity.

I have 100MB left on my bundle and it expires today, if they fail to provide me with connectivity in order to use that data it will be fraud.
 
I disagree about Vodacom hardly having issues, and no they did not respond quickly - there were posts since 11 this morning about problems. Rudolf Muller from MyBB followed up and managed to get comment from someone at Vodacom.
Vodacom certainly do not deserve compliments today on responding quickly...

There was another outage recently as well, so their reliability and redundancy are questionable at the moment.

Maybe Vodacom is testing their RICA switchoff for tonight.

Anyway, their assertion that only "certain users are affected" is BS.
I can't get through to any Vodacom numbers.

Edit: Correction, I can receive calls, but cannot dial anything from my Vodacom SIM.

Even when vodacom's network is supposedly working it is pathetic. Vodacom's quality and service has declined steadily in the last decade.
 
when are following the yanks's example, and start a class-action lawsuit, perhaps that will wake them up.
 
I also have about R50 left on a prepaid sim that I did not RICA and if I am unable to blow that airtime today that will also be fraud.
 
Must be some patch/update/config on the network that's caused this, since it's affecting various parts of the country. Roll back !

We are having issues with Vodacom on a regular basis here in GP.
