Anyone else experiencing problems with Vodacom signal?

Cannot make or receive calls, sms's or MMS's on either of our phones. Has happened before, but Vodacom deny there is a problem.

Northriding, Randburg area.
 
Hmmm... almost smells like the problem they had a few times recently. They claimed a server crashed which authenticates certain prepaid numbers. It's highly irritating, when I changed from prepaid to contract 4 years ago, but kept my number!
 
You're lucky they even admitted to a problem. Their stipulation to us was that they needed 5 or more complaints to look into a matter. Has happened again to us this morning. We have 3 contracts and cannot make or recieve calls on any of them.
 
Yup, there is a problem. It seems to be in Cape Town from what I can see. My mother went into a Vodacare, who called the customer care center - and they told her nothing is wrong with the network she must buy a new phone!

Lucky she called me to ask which phone, and I told her to wait till tomorrow. Later in the day, the phone started working 100% again. Bloody network.

Can't we make them sign an SLA or something?

Honestly, that should be the case! What exactly are we paying monthly subs for anyway? So you're uncontactable and lose an important deal, or your wife can't reach anyone when she goes into labour???

Have called them and they say that until they get 5 or more complaints, they will not look into the problem. 3 different phones with 3 different contracts and there is no reason for them to look into it!

I had problems 3 hours ago, Stellenbosch. Very slow.
