Sorry made an erorr in speling on heading.
I know I know , I have vented about VC for years and I should never have taken out a few lines that I did, now I know why I left them in the first place.
Anyway, here is what happened, one of the lines ended in April, so in feb, I told them via call that I wanted to cancel my line. Eventually after 40 minutes on the phone I managed to get it cancelled giving them enough time to do so, it took so bloody long becasue VC cancellations are actually their sales department, for 40 odd mniutes this lady tried every trick in the book to upsel me.
Eventually I just agreed to get off the phone. I then sent an e mail to them telling them I dont want any services, cancel the line, I dont need to keep it alive.
No reply.
So I called in 2 days ago and discovered that they had left on some idiotic product for R28 per month.
It isnt about the money its about telling them to cancel and they didnt do it.
So again, called their cancellation dept. This guy tried again for probably 30 minutes to upsell me, its acutally ridiculous how they refuse to cancel a line.
I had to basically tell this guy, listen I dont have all day to sit on the phone, Cancel the bloody line or put me through to your supervisor or someone else who can. He still tried to make me accept some stupid bloody product the eep the line alove and get discount on other products.
I just kept quiet after telling him to tell me when its done I am not listening.
Has anyone else gone through this with Vodacom?
Its ridiculous, and you cannot e mail anyone, nobody eplies.
