Vodacom scam?

Many years back I was on Autopage and they were taken over by Vodacom. By default I became a Vodacom client. Still to this day, some 10+ years later, I get a charge on my monthly bill "Autopage Account Status Report" for R4,03. When I query this with Vodacom, they give answers like they don't know what this is and the system wont allow it to be cancelled. Most recently I was told they can't see this on their side yet it is right there on my statement. Makes me want to cancel / not renew all 4 contracts I have with them.

Anyone on here know if Vodacom are scamming me?
 
Vodacom has better things to do with their time than scam you out of R4..

It really is as simple as their billing systems having moved on from back then, probably several times and billing line items like yours having been lost along the way..

Is it right..? No, but getting through frontline call centre staff, is unfortunately not going to get you anywhere..

You will have to visit them in person and probably do so several times to get this resolved..

Probably not a scam, but totally schitty on their part. Large corporates will try and brush you off, that's why I have no qualms about gravely insulting any agent that gives me a rubbish answer over the phone.

Just doing their job? Aw poo.

They are scamming you. Complain at ICASA - it works like a charm

Not a scam just incompetence from their side. It took them 2 years to change the old address on my invoices/statements to the new address, despite numerous queries via phone, email, social media etc.
