Let me start with a time line

September 2020 we pre ordered after they already layed the fibre down at our area

We made multiple requests for someone to finalize the installation after multiple attempts

Metro fibre comes out and installs the TP box

To finalize the install we needed the ONT box so the router can connect

Everyone in our area who only ordered this month is already connected and live

And we are still waiting for the ONT box

Vodacom what are you doing ?

You understand what preordering is ?

Your technical support is so pathetic

Your staff can't even understand the details

You guys are saying we even had a active line

How if fibre only went live this year febuary

IF MFN is the FNO - just go with another ISP

We took a month to month i think they may charge

Just so frustrated we just need the ont but the service is so unexpected from such a big name

I mean just because its a big name, you shouldn't expect it to be great. A lot of people have been complaining about Vodacom. That being said, I am impressed with Telkom/Openserve and their routes.

Not sure how to proceed as i made to many calls
If Vodacom is just the ISP and there is an independent Open Access FNO in the area like Metro or Openserve, you can simply cancel with Vodacom and move to an ISP of your choosing.

Metro fibre is the main character here

Although they not on par either they actually came and they didn't want to install without a order number ... But thanks gents for helping me alot to think about

Vodacoms weird with the escalation process if you need to query you need to speak to a completely new person who does not know anything about the intial complaint
They only follow S/O and SR numbers

so you can blame Metro because Vodacom says its them - but Vodacom cant even check their own notes from an initial complaint?

After a long time finally metro fibre has come and installed my ont box today
