Vodacom: Striking workers broke the rules

Workers at Vodacom that are on strike,will continue to struggle until their union is recognised.IC and the rest I dont expect you people to understand. Even in the past there were always individuals like yourselves, you will never understand the plight of workers until you are in the same situation.These workers stand proud knowing that they are justified in their actions.Say what you feel,South Africa allows every individual to express themselves (Freedom of speech). Respect other peoples rights too.

I wish you well in finding a new union to join that already has 30%+ representation, Amandla.

Re-education

Each and every single industry has unions that can only organise workers in a particular sector e.g. ICT.A person working as a nurse cannot join SADTU bcos only teachers can join that particular union.Again 30% is not a constitutional requirement so it shouldnt even be posed as an arguement.Workers understand that 'no work no pay and no pay no work'. Whoever believes that the company doesnt feel the strike,those need a reality check.Go and the c 4 yoself the situation in Vodaworld Midrand,Vodacom Acres Port Elizabeth,Pier Place and Techno Centre Cape Town.The Vodacom brand is definitely taking a knock which might lead to share prices dropping. Maybe until you read about it in the papers then you will believe it.

Just ignore these fanboyz. They all have more of a link to that company than they ever disclose - hence their 'defend to the death' attitude.

If you want to strike, then do it. That's your right. Just don't destroy stuff and do it for a vlid reason and you will have some sympathy. When Vodacom does mean things it only makes them look like a bully. ..... We expect it from a company that demonstrates such disdain for their customers.

I can see SA going through what the UK went through 20 years ago with the unions.... Maggie Thatcher basically clipped the unions wings, and if the industry is not profitable due to union actions, then kill the entire industry. (The Country went from a Commodity to an intellectual powerhouse)
