26.5 Million, but how many of them are active users on their network. I for example know there is at least one activated sim in my house which is not being used just lying in the cupboard. My uncle bought and activated a sim while traveling here, but he's back in europe now, so this number is not used anymore

If I am not mistaken these will all be SIM cards which were used in the last three months. If they are not used they are recycled...so your SIM in the cupboard has most likely beed recycled already

congrats vodacom..you guys are still my HSDPA/ provider of choice..and I salute you...I know there are guys that moan about coverage issues and all but cant say I ever had real bad service...

26million... And how many clients swore at their mobile phones today!
Its crazy how many users have intermittend "Emergency calls only", calls that get dropped, calls that we have to redial a number of times because one cannot hear the other caller,the Vodafone Live! that messes up mobile web access with regular "bad 400" errors (it has not always been like this), and having to pay R49 for HSDPA?HSUPA access extra.
I have 2 sims&phones. One work and one private.
Most colleagues/clients/friends/family are on vodacom and every body just accepts this crap and agrees "we hate cellphones"
Come on mobile operators, do some surveys and tests and fix your crap and you might gain even more and leave us with something useable.
And i almost forgot.. the vodafone crap you lock our phones with. Thinking of moving since my friend with same model phone on other networks have no problem upgrading their phones firmware since they don`t get held by the hand by vodafone! I have to take my phones in everytime i want something done
