Vodacom - Why do subscribers who make use of the "VALUE ADDED SERVICE" OPT IN 3.6 only receive 20% value of download speed that is to say speed of 1.8 and higher at R49 per month? If these subscribers received at least 50% value and more then R49 would have been well spent, this was the case for two weeks after HSUPA (28 May 2008) was launched then all disappeared. Wonder why?

So what exactly are you trying to say, you opted in for 3.6 and have not seen any difference? opt-out then.
Can anyone say its by any means consistantly above say 2000kbps on the 3.6 pay R49 more,value added service??
I've got MTN 3.6 coverage, which at the moment is free, and the only thing consistant is the HSUPA part of +/- 1000kbps upload speed.
The download side is only VERY occasionally above 2000kbps.
I think what the OP's trying to say is maybe it is similiar to my findings with MTN.
Its not worth paying for and both telco's should go stick their xtra charge where the sun don't shine!
3G data we pay enough for as it is.

Yes. I received a constant average of 2.5Mbps on the 3.6 Profile. I havent used since the trial ended, so i dont know what how different it is now.
