How does one get provisioned for the VoLTE service?

- 111 , did their best to help but could not
- MyVodacom just has the standard LTE option.

I am a contract customer with an up-to-date sim + VoLTE device + LTE coverage, BUT called fallback onto 3G.

There should be a way?

PM me your number and let me have a look.

I had a look, but he has been changed onto the new system. On the old one I could activate it, but on the new one it is not available. I think Volte only on the Samsung S6 or S7 I think. Let me go have a look.

Any further news on this for iPhone? It's coming up on 2 years since it was launched...

Thanks Ockie, mail sent

Done. You should be getting a sms stating that your IMS service has been provisioned. Once done, enable the function on the phone and reboot.

To do so, first make sure the iPhone is activated and connected to Verizon's LTE network. Then head to Settings > Cellular > Enable LTE. By default, the Enable LTE option will be limited to “Data Only.” Tap on “Voice & Data” to enable voLTE.

Hi Ockie, I contacted Voda business and had the service activated. Received the sms.
Does that mean it is now activated?
What service /setting do I activate on my phone? Samsung galaxy s8. Also, I got the s8 in store, how come no free accessory pack?

Just make sure under network settings LTE/3G/2G is enabled not just 3G, restart your phone and you didn't receive the accessory pack because:

*While stocks last and exclusive to website and Vodaworld pre orders only. Accessory kit includes a stand-up wireless charger that is exclusive to Vodacom, USB cable, Clear View cover and screen protector.

There should also be a option in his settings that says something to the effect of HD Calling or Volte or Advanced calling. If there is no such option, then the phone software does not support Volte.
