Vodacom WiFi here

Seriously... this is a joke.

Can I assume they will offer this where there is no Cell phone coverage? :D:D

Why do they even bother?

R1.50 international!!!! with Telkom not even in the loop?

They must be making a fortune off that.

Those prices are completely mad...

There is a reason I never use WiFI hotspots.

Can anyone help me out... I assume this is an ad-hock service - i.e. not for the regular user, but the traveller perhaps? Why would they charge so much more than their own HSDPA service?

when i'm sitting at Mcd's and want to do something quick, this is great, how much time u really spend at 'hot spots' to do loads of downloading?

all i'm wondering is how the speed on this will be because "fast" these days mean anything between 200kbps and 8mbps?

think its pretty cool though... will take my lappy to mcd's tonight and check my gmail just to see how it is . :P

Good luck albert! I will just use my nokia when I need to hook up my notebook :p

why do it the way we've been doing it for the past few years if u can do it the new way for double the price mate??? :D:D:D

:p

“Pay as you Surf” customers will pay R 0.86 per MB for local usage while international usage costs R 1.50 per minute.
So... question is... are they charging per minute or meg???
Lol, I assume that R1,50 is per meg...

Damn but that was a shocker. I can't wait to see what they offer for ADSL packages.

Who needs a gym when you can race up your heart rate every time you see that pricing structure.

QFT!?
0.86 a Mb!? what a massive rip off...

What the hell... does vodacom think people will fall for this? only "falling" I see is Vodacom...

Yes, we gonna pay more to access internet in highly localised areas, and throw away our HSDPA cards...

more than a thousand bucks for 1gb local, you gotta be mad. There is no reason for this service even existing, or are they saying that HSDPA is a failure?
