I´ve been reading and know that you both have 3G Watcher 1.1.1.870
I have a MC8755 sierra card and have no drivers issues, but can´t get 3g watcher to recognize the card.
I read that you solved the problem with that specific version of 3g watcher.
PLEASE HELP !!!!
Maybe we can put it in a public dropbox space for future people with this same issue.

If you posted a bit more detail about your setup, what you have tried so far and the details of the posts you refer to someone might be able to help you.

There are newer versions of 3G watcher for download on the Sierra site. Have you tried them?

I´ve tried some version "Build1437_r2", 1.10.0.1 build1382, 2.4.0.1 Build 1618, 1.8.2 build 1265 so far....
My laptop is a dell xps 1530, it recognizes the card and everything, but it doesn´t install the NDIS driver.
I´ve downloaded the driver from the fujitsu site for the Amilo Si, and from the lenovo site.
tried them both, with all of the before mentioned versions of 3g Watcher.
With one driver I get the MC8755 Modem Installed, and with the other, the Sierra Wireless AirCard HSDPA Modem. Also some COM ports for data, CNS, DM and AT Command. Also de USB controller for "Sierra Wireless MC8755 Device".
All of them without conflict.
I´m using windows vista home premium 32bits.
I installed windows XP a pair of days ago, and tried all the before described combination of drivers and 3g Watchers, still nothing...
3g Watcher doesnt recognize the MC8755

the embedded dell modules are locked and it´s not an option in south america.
so I bought an unlocked module I found on ebay.
BTW, I had no luck with the 3g watcher mp that was in the link you gave me.
I thought about trying some alternative software as the globetrotter mobility manager, but it´s not easy to configure.

no, but that´s not the point... this is the only forum where i found info about my specific problem.
The info in the support section of sierra is not helpful at all. And anyway, they are not giving any more specific support for the MC8755, so I´m looking for help allover the world.

So you have Dell that came without the embedded module, you bought an unlocked one on ebay and installed it yourself, correct?

Have enabled the module in the BIOS as well?

You also now seem to be mentioning option (GT Connect), which is a completely different company to Sierra. The Sierra site makes no mention of the MC8755 being shipped with Dell. http://www.sierrawireless.com/product/mc8775.aspx

Can you please post the original thread you found here as well?

I've done some digging and the bulk of Dell notebooks shipped with re-branded Novatel cards. So it would have been a much better idea to go with one of those.

Have you tried looking at the Asus drivers for the V2S? It has a MC8755 listed.

Entimus, I may still have the installs, but it's at work. Will check Monday.

the vs2 has the 8775, not the 8755, but thanks anyway man...
Ajax, that would be awesome... I´m crossing my fingers....

Eish, sorry, I don't have it anymore. Seems to have lost it.
Sorry dude!

no problem man...
those things happen... thanx anyway... hope vc3g sees this post and help me if he still has it...
