I want to get a HTC Touch diamond on a Talk120 contract from Vodacom. I'm funny in this way, but if I made up my mind on a new gadget when I want to get it immediate and I do not want to wait until next month.

I have phone Vodashop and they have confirmed that they have the phone in stock. So I thought that it would be easy as I am on a 4U contract I thought I could just upgrade to Talk120 pay about R2000 in and walla I have my new diamond:)

But NO; I must migrate my 4U contract to a Talk120 contract and then wait until next month before I can get my new phone:mad:

This is just silly, I want my phone now!

Anybody any ideas what I can do?

If your 4U contract has reached the end of the line, you can port your number to MTN too. Thought it was going to be a mission, and to a certain extent it was, but at the end of the day, the port itself took 1 week (and I had my new phone before that)

Oh, and why the month wait? Are you still in month 22 of 24 maybe?

The funny thing is if I take-out a new contract with VSP (which mean I can get the phone immediate) I can don port my existing number but if I take-out a new contract with a different service provider I can port my number.

You can try to port to prepaid and then take out the contract....?
