I just cannot get the 3565z USB modem to install on my windows XP 64 bit. I have tried everything and it seems this thing just isn't compatable with XP 64 bit. Can someone please prove me wrong cause looking at the vodafone forums they say they don't offer xp 64 bit for this modem.:mad:

Hi

The drivers are provided by the manufacturer in your case Huawei, the drivers are normally integrated in new VMC software releases and we are expecting newer version soon.

Have you tried this

I downloaded the latest drivers 9.4.3 I think it was, no love. It keeps saying some error message about needing admin rights. There is only one user account on the machine and that is the admin. I tried the 'run as' adim through explorer and also no love. Some idiot said install service pack 3 but there is no service pack 3 for XP 64 bit. I went to Hawaii ( I know thats the wrong spelling ) site but could not find the drivers for 64 bit so if you can post a link to it that would be great!
 
All these guys are talking about the e220, I'm asking about the 3565z or will the software work for both?

The biggest problems I have is the Pc doesn't want to install the VMC software on XP 64 bit. It keeps complaining about admin privileges and doesn't finish installing the software. Seriously WTF happened to plug and play?:mad:
 
Ok got the 64 bit drivers ( huawei_e220_XP64 ) there is no autorun or exe file install how do i do this step by step. I'm not a windows dork:)

Stop me if I'm worng but don't I need the VMC software to connect to the net?:confused:

I know Max and photoshop this stuff makes no sense to me.
 
this still makes no sense but I'll see if I can use it, I hate windows:mad:

Wish there were clear instructions like; take can opener, open can, drain off brine, put tuna in bowl, add mayo to taste, take two slice of toast and put mixture in between, congratulations you can now eat your toasted tuna mayo sandwich.

Or better yet if you are using windows XP 64 please click here to continue otherwise enjoy your 3.8 gig memory limit and press next.

Why is 64 bit such hard work!!!!!! I really want to write some horrible swear words here, but I appreciate you trying to help man!:)
