Vodafone K3772-Z remove CD-ROM

Hi everyone,

Has anybody found a way to remove the CD-ROM from the modem? I was able to do it on my E220 and would like to do the same on this device. I have found a reference to using AT+ZCDRUN=8 being the command to do it but it does not work. I just get an error returned. I use Ubuntu almost exclusively and the CD-ROM is just annoying.

K3772-Z is probably based on ICERA chipset, similar to K3805-Z and K3806-Z. Not much information on these modems. Why to switch from E220? Do you have better performance over E220?
