Yes I believe so as I bought the phone from Dions about three weeks ago and it does have a red Vlive! link on the screen.
I saw them break the seals on the box since they needed to set the Sim card prepaid access.

I have previously set the default access point to Vlive! in real player, as I saw to do that on this website.

My location is Hatfield Pretoria which is a 3G area as far as I know and the phone itself displays 3G on the screen with full signal strength of five bars.
When accessing the Vlive site, after doing a purchase to view a TV channel and Realplayer just cannot connect.
Possibly the real player requires some other settings as well such as proxy or bandwidth settings?

I've had to change the default APN in Real Player to VLive on other N70's, so thought that's your problem.

Where are you based? Close to Vodaworld?

I work in Pretoria city center and have visited the Vodacare center in Hatfield. Would they be able to update the Real player APN for me or could you possibly send me the settings for this APN.

It should be a setting under the Real Player options.

Also, there might be a default APN setting for the phone as a whole, set this as well.

I notice there are a few other settings for Realplayer as well

Under 'Network settings' it has lowest and highest UDP Port values. I don't know if these are correct.
And under 'Use proxy' it might require a server address and port no.
I tried the values that were also used for the Vlive access point which were 196.6.128.12 and port 8080.
and does one need a username and password.

I think you might be right about the preconfiguration of the phone and would a Vodacare shop be able to correct that.

Were you going to suggest I should bring the phone to Vodaworld as I can only do that Saturday.

Yes, but in the meantime can you check the firmware version please.

The firmware version is V 2.0539.1.2 19-10-2005 RM-84

I probably need to upgrade this but can I ask the Voda center here to do this.

Through dealings with Voda's tech centre, I beleive that a new software version is available but was only deployed yesterday so it will take a few days to propogate through to all the vodacare centres - maybe you should hang in there a while or allternatively have it done at Vodacare at Vodaworld - they should be the most up to date.

Do you think that is possibly why my Realplayers Vlive facility doesn't
work, as the firmware seams a bit dated from what I see on the Nokia site.

Don't think that's the problem. VLive streams normal video streams and Real Player have been able to display them for a long time.

AFAIK, the latest N70 firmware is (SW ver 5.0609.2.0.1) and you should be able to get it upgraded by now.

Ok thanks for all the assistance so far, is appreciated
